Water Wings and Whispering Scales

The indoor pool smelled of clean water and warm plastic floaties. Rosy stood at the edge, her toes curling over the smooth wet tiles while her heart did a little flutter-dance inside her chest.

Right beside the bench, Unicorn sat perfectly still, holding Rosy's fluffy pink towel. Unicorn gave a encouraging little nod, her magical horn shining softly under the bright pool lights.

Suddenly, a giant splash of bright orange bubbled up from the center of the lane. Out popped Big Orange Goldfish, blowing a perfect stream of shiny, floating bubbles that drifted toward the ceiling.

Rosy clapped her hands and giggled, her initial nervousness melting away like ice cream in the sun. She took a deep breath, plugged her nose, and made a brave leap into the cool water.

The water felt wonderful, wrapping around her like a cool, liquid hug. Big Orange Goldfish swam in a gentle circle around Rosy, offering a smooth fin for her to hold onto.

Unicorn watched from the dry tiles, her eyes wide with pride as she trotted along the edge of the pool, keeping pace with her brave friend.

With a gentle swish of his tail, Big Orange Goldfish dove deeper, and the tiled walls of the pool seemed to dissolve into a magical, glowing underwater forest.

Pink sea anemones waved hello like soft, fuzzy hands, and tiny silver fish darted through the coral like shooting stars. Rosy kicked her feet happily, feeling completely free.

Rosy practiced her big kicks, making a trail of tiny, sparkling bubbles behind her. Big Orange Goldfish blew a giant bubble shield that giggled when she poked it.

They glided together through a tunnel of glowing golden seaweed, moving slower and slower as the gentle current rocked them like a cradle.

With one last gentle push, Big Orange Goldfish guided Rosy back up to the surface, where Unicorn was waiting with the warm towel ready.

Later that evening, the cozy bedroom was filled with the soft, warm glow of starry lights. Rosy sat on her bed, her hair still smelling faintly of pool water.

She took out her favorite scratch-off art paper. Using The Magic Stylus, she carefully scraped away the dark coating to reveal a bright pink goldfish swimming under a golden moon.

Unicorn rested her chin on the edge of the mattress, her eyes heavy with sleep. Rosy put her art away, snuggled deep under her fluffy blankets, and closed her eyes.

The room was quiet, save for the gentle rhythm of their breathing. Rosy smiled into her pillow, ready to swim through her dreams.

Unicorn let out a tiny, soft yawn and whispered, "You were the bravest swimmer in the whole ocean tonight, Rosy."
